Yes this is Probably one of the Strongest 951's out there. If you want a Viper killer that's the car you need. Well known car on rennlist. This car has over $60K invested easily. I still dream about buying it.If anybody is interested all I can say this car is a steal at this price.

You only say that because there are so many people that try to tune their car with out knowing anything about tuning. Thus making for a unreliable headache. This car was done right. Built and Tuned.

This was built by Lindsey racing correct? I'm very familiar with one of their cars. I towed it home for the owner one of the times it broke... It was mind numbingly fast when it ran. But after changing the head gasket..... Second one in this particular motor, I am just not impressed. Their stuff may be fine for the parking lot crowd, but when it's really pushed it doesn't hold up.

When Porsche (or anyone) designs a car, they look at balancing reliability with performance and economy.
When you go too far in the direction of performance, reliability will always suffer. That's why pro race teams hit the track with extra engines and transmissions and what not stocked up in the trailer ready to drop in at a moment's notice. When you push engines way, way beyond the recommended tolerances, stuff happens - it's expected. This car is perhaps as has been said, possibly the ultimate 951. And Lindsey is very reputable. But unless you have several extra engines and a mechanic and big, big bucks to back it up, there's no way you could race it. This lady is extreme high-maintenance. It belongs in a collection, to be looked at and admired, not driven. I'm sure it's worth every penny of the $60K the guy has invested, but it's gonna be a real tough time finding someone who is willing to buy it, even at the listed price. I wonder what a couple extra engines and transaxles would cost?

Like most modified engines, they stress the drive train and some case welded joints. To go all the way, like $60,000 I would thing you would modify 100%.

Sorry, but a modified car like this should be pretty close to perfect when it is sold. Even to only get half of your money back at $30K, it would suck to spend that much to have a VIN-less car (theft wasn't reported to Autocheck for some reason) with ABS/AC/and unexplained drivetrain issues. Even if it's just a half-shaft at best case, it's not the right way to start out after spending $20-30K. Good luck to the seller.

Note the final statement in the eBay ad...
"There is a problem with the drive train, possible bad half shaft or coupler. worst case a bad gear box. I just have not had a chance to check it out! This happen 2 weeks ago. " Do you think all the performance mods trashed the gear box?!? Who'd a thunk it

Well it may be that the current owner finally got tired of fixing/replacing broken parts - This is one of those cars if not driven with knowledge of the weak points it could easly break it's own leg.
