Anyone familiar with Steering Pressure Switch on 944S?

Working on a 944S engine to transplant into my n/a. Came across a power steering pressure switch that only the S model seems to have.

Pelican Parts - Product Information: 944-606-209-00-OEM

What is the purpose of this? Does it sense the pressure being too high or too low? Does this trigger a light in the dash?

Where does this switch go? The parts diagrams just show it off by itself and I can't find any other info. I'm guessing it may go into the extra port on the steering pump that is usually plugged.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Read the link posted below. Make sure you separate the wires and tape them up good.

that switch originally was there on the 16 valve models to send a signal to the dme control unit to increase the idle speed to the idle air stabilizer valve when steering was at maximun pump pressure . when steering rack was at full lock right or left.
