Yes I did! I have big hands too so it wasn't easy! I couldn't pull it that far apart
I pulled the drivers seat, steering wheel, turns/wiper switch gear/guage cluster, part of the center console and the glove box;kick panel. Had all the wire looms from the guages and various switches out of their holders down into the drivers side, coverd with a black towel to hide em, put the seat/cluster/steering wheel in loose at the end of the day, that way it looked like a runner, so's it wouldn't get red tagged.
