exaust questions

I want to replace the stock muffler with a Bursch one- besides the slight power and better sound difference, what else will benifit. Maybe better low rpm torque? maybe better throttle response? Thanks

Pat

I have it on my 944. It also weighs a lot less. The power really isnt that noticable but it does sound better especially at higher RPM's. The thing i have to say is that my 968 sounds like a racecar at high rpms with the stock muffler. I really like the stock exhaust

hey Raf, thanks I forgot about the weight... I read a past post about the n/a shudder and saw the link to the place that upgrades to the later model computer. I don't remember if you said you did the upgrade to the bug fixed version of the software, but if you did, did it change anything besides the shudder(like did it make it feel smoother overall or something like that) and what was installation like. Thanks again

Pat

i always thought that a better flowing exhaust is worse for lower rpms, so i am doubting that it will increase the power because you dont have enough back pressure and you are spitting fuel out of the exhaust. I am not totally sure but i believe that exhausts will improve your high rpm power but will make low rpm power decrease.
