CV joints/grease or not to grease
I have heard varying reports on CV joint maintenance, just thought I'd throw it up for debate.
Is it worth repacking the CV joints? Must they be completely dismantled prior to repacking (assuming that they have not been contaminated) or will a simple repack suffice. Should they be rotated side to side to even the wear by changing direction? |

If you are going to go through the trouble of removing the CV, clean it completely (I use mineral spirits) and inspect it for wear - then have them repacked. You can, if yo want, flip the joint over.
