Ready for show....I think?

Finished the mechanical and spent the weekend detailing. Still have a little to do on interior but thinking it is ready to show.

That looks very nice and clean. It will draw lots of attention. You may want to lay out a toolkit and manuals in the hatch.

Might want to vacum the drivers mat and remove the cigarettes too

Looks good though. Not sure I've ever seen a two tone dash like that one before.

It's not a two tone dash, it's one of those plastic overlays for covering up the cracks.

What I have done before is to cover the plastic dash overlay with leather (In your case it would be Burgundy Leather), glue the leather down on the overlay with contact cement then it looks and feels like a new dash - I have not checked but maybe 928 leather shop would sell a piece of matched Burgundy leather for just such a purpose - a piece of plain leather of a good size should not cost to much either. You do not have to take the dash out completely to put the leather on the overlay - a much easier job.

MSt758, I like what you did with the dash, the car looks very clean. If thats overlay it looks good. Ernie likes to drive us crazy with his attention to detail. Cocacolakidd, that is an excellent idea! I have 2 or 3 very small cracks on my dash that will have to be dealt with after I sort out my other problems...
