Here's another view.
Supercharged & intercooled DOHC 32 valve V-8, aluminum block and heads, Ford EEC-V engine control system w/ port fuel injection. SPECS: 328 cu in, 5374 cc 500 bhp 500 lb-ft 3000 lb 0-60 mph 4.0 sec 0-100 mph 9.0 sec 1/4 mile 12.2 @ 116 mph top speed 185mph courtesy of Car and Driver mag. |
it's a beaut! i saw one, a real one, auctioned off on speedvision about 8 months ago. i think it went for over $200k, can't remember exactly. it was a nice dark blue, looked even nicer than the yellow.

I have that C & D mag, but haven't had time to read it yet. Are they planning to put it in production anytime soon? A vehicle like that would really help Ford's image as they try to overcome their current troubles.
I still think the original looks better though. There's something about the new one that I don't like. |
They are planning on production depending on public reaction at NAIAS. Seems like an ignorant comment, of course there is going to be intrest in a super car at a car show. Although if there are a bunch of folks lining up to pay six figures for one that is another story. Can a Ford compete with a loaded Lotus or Porsche, really? This is not in any way a contender for the Corvette at less than half it's price.
On a side note, I sold a $75K 2000 Cobra-R two summers ago. It didn't even make it home before the rad blew. The guy was beating the **** out of it (must be nice). I would hope this isn't typical of Ford Racing, but who knows. Firestarter |
Don't waste a full fledged woody on that car just yet. Let's talk about how the front and rear ends of this car will look with those large bumpers the federal regs are going to mandate.
