Sensor/Flywheel Gap - Auto Positioning Bracket?

I forgot to gap the speed sensor prior to installing the bell housing...so used the "business card" method of building up a .8mm thickness on the bottom of the sensor, stuck there with two-sided tape.

This turned out to be totally unnecessary. My speed/reference sensor bracket has a metal tab which lowers against a stop when installed - positioning the sensors perfectly. I know this because I actually built the "business card" shim up to just over 1mm, and with this extra amount there appeared a very slight (almost invisible) gap between the metal tab and the stop.

I think I have the "old style" sensor block...as it features the third hole for the TDC sensor, which nowadays, I take it, is no longer used.

Anybody else have a sensor bracket that positions itself?

Old and New style of sensor brackets have an adjusting slot---shown by tip of pen. Opposite the adjusting slot is the "pivot sleeve". The pivot sleeve moves the adjusting slot UP & DOWN to position the reference sensor .8mm (less than 1mm) above the FW(flywheel)
