Engine I.D.

I need some help with engine I.D. The car is a 1987S but it may have a S2 engine or head. I need to replace a cam and do not know which one to look for. The part no. is 944 105 275 3R. Can someone please tell me which engine this is for? Thanks

Camshafts part number 944-105-275-3R & 944-105-277-2R are for an S2 head.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1290795198.jpg:D

Ok lol will try to clear the spider webs from your brain, what probably happen is that at one time or another someone just drop an S2 motor in your engine bay or just switch the head from S to S2 but what they did is use the S intake instead of the S2 thus retaining the OE air boxe (no 2 pic) since trying to install an S2 air intake in an S is almost impossible ,unless you switch the complete car front end from S2 to S.Hope your following me, your camshaft no is definitely (S2)take a real close look at both intakes & you will start to notice quiete a bite of difference between the two.:)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1290805929.jpg better view of an S2 intake.

Yes, my intake does not have a hole in it with a tube going through it. I think you are right. It must be an S2 engine with S intake. Thanks for the Help.
