Name that electrical problem... 1984 944

This is a 1984 944, anyone care to guess the electrical fault?

Recently I noticed my turn indicator would light up in the dash but not blink when I set it for either direction. The exterior signal light remains off too. At the same time, the "buzzer" that signals when shifting into reverse has stopped and the reverse lights don't come on. Both electric mirrors have stopped functioning. The hazard blinkers do work, the brake lights are working too.

These are the only symptoms I've noticed and they all seem to have happened at once. (I guess that doesn't mean only one part has failed though.) Best I can see, the fuses look okay. Relay? Any way to tell from this much info?

Kodos to anyone who can give me the info to fix it myself, I just finished service post broken timing belt (failed at about 15,000, due to high temps/coolant leaks after failed water pump, or possibly it was an old belt at install, or ???).... otherwise she is perfect as ever :)

Thanks!
Resolved. After market relay bad contacts due to heat/corrosion in the insert tabs.

thats funny that the person that last fixed this used an aftermaket part. you can get a new one from pelican for like 9 bucks. I went to carquip and got one for 5.
Glad you got it fixed :)

Try Clark's: Troubleshooting - Engine

Disconnect the ignition coil output wire at the distributor cap.
Connect a spark plug to the end of the ignition coil output wire which you just disconnected.
Connect a ground wire to the threaded portion of the spark plug.
Disconnect the ignition coil ground wire from the negative terminal on the coil (Green Wire).
Connect one end of a ground wire to the ignition coil negative terminal.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Tap the other end of the ignition coil ground wire jumper on an good grounding point (for example the battery negative terminal) and look for sparks at the spark plug that correspond to the frequency of your tapping of the ground wire.
If you have a good spark at the spark plug, the ignition coil is good.
If you don't get a good spark, check for approximately 12 VDC from the coil positive terminal (black wire) to ground with the ignition switch in the ON position. You should also get approximately 12 VDC from the coil negative terminal (Green wire) to ground

i am having a hard time understanding what to do here.

Like it's stated test it like that. If you see juice there. Then you may have a bad coil if you get no spark from the main lead to the Distributor cap. If you get juice from the main lead then it maybe your rotor cap.

Have it towed to a mechanic who does understand what Clark's Garage is saying...
