anyone have a pic of a 944 s2 glacier metallic (L Y5u)

i took my car to have it repainted after someone ran into it parked.
the guy at the shop couldnt find my paint code and didnt call me. he just decided to guess and it turned out really blue. i had them repaint it. i have this feeling it wasnt repainted bc it still seems blue.
i cant seem to find a pic of stock color to compare.
ever since i bought the car 6 plus years ago, it was horribly faded.
the paint is an improvement and the car looks good but if i find out it was just resprayed with a color to tint it or something, i think i deserve some sort of adjustment.

If the car was originally lacier Blue, lift the carpet on the rear deck, and compare that with the exterior. My NA was Glacier Blue, and it was nowhere near that "blue", more like a blue tint to silver.

Looks more like saphire metallic blue. I believe the code for it is ly5v.

I was going to upload a picture but am having some file extension issues. Maybe later.

That's why I suggested that you look under the carpet in the back, the paint will not fade like that exposed to the sun. The blue "tint" is really pretty minor, to best see it, you need to park the car next to a silver one. But, as I said, if you look under the rear deck carpet, the spare tire well, any place where the paint has not been in the sunlight, you will find what the original color looks like. Somewhere I have the paint chips in a dealer sales phamplet, but the color does not come across accurately when scanning or taking a picture.

I honestly would have left it at the screwed up color. Definitely not glacier but it was different and good looking.

Blacked out? No, they're not installed yet.

I like the new colour.

In my opinion, #2 is easily the best looking color out of all the ones I see.

This is Sapphire Metallic (LY5V), original paint. All the silver blues from Porsche back then were pretty similar depending on the light

Silver is a magical color, Yours does look a little blue,
maybe its the light and time of day. It looks awesome enough.

I blackened mine when I had it repainted. I personally like the look. You car is nice. Paint fades over time. My metallic black car looked brown over 25 years, It doesnt look that way now.

If you have the right color code and you used a reputable shop, the color is the color. Paint is so much better now than 20 yrs ago.
