My car was stumbling .I found a vacumn leak at the fuel pressure regulator fixed it and disconnected the O2 sensor, Better but still stumbling. Used fuel injector cleaner.Better for a short time. Finnally I cleaned and oberved the AFM. then I cleaned and inspected the large connector near the wiper motor. I resat the fuel pump relay and changed to a non locking vented gas cap and the car now runs steady.

You found it. Congrats!

It wears when the lights go up and down.

Bug, thanks for the input. I also cleaned my AFM and reset the arm in a new track.

Hopefully this tear is the culprit. Ordered a new set here: Magnecor Porsche 944 Sparkplug Wires

Will try and keep the thread up to date.

Someone was a proponent of Kingston wires, might have been SoCal, RIP. I know nothing of the magnecor wires, I went with Beru.

Update

Ok guys. New spark plugs, spark plug wires and distributor cap.... no real change.
Is the O2 sensor still a concern?
Stuck injector?

Looks like the idle RPM is steady, the exhaust sound is subjective, stop spending for now until you have a usability problem.

So I am supposed to ignore my car until things get worse? It's already been pointed out that the engine isn't running properly....

looks like it might have been caught in the headlight mechanism - might sound weird but does it miss any more or less when the lights are up or down

Maybe. Mine sounded like that, ended up be a broken valve spring.
