Indicator/signal light

Hi there,

A while back my left/right indicator lever stopped flicking back after making a turn. I could live with that, but now things have gotten worse.

When I activate the turn signal, the light on the dash goes on once and then off. It no longer flicks on and off. When I looked into this further, what is happening is that the indicator/signal light on left side or right side of the car turns on and stays on until I return the lever to neutral. It does not flick on and off anymore.

I am hoping, if I have explained this correctly, that someone knows a simple solution for this!! Just change the lever? fuse?

Any help appreciated,
bpk

You need to replace the entire signal stalk.

might be the flasher - could be a cheap fix - but your turn signal stalk still won't return to the middle position after a turn

is your hazard switch working..if the hazard switch goes out you'll have weird things go on with the turn signals..it is wired to the turn signals..i had a similiar problem like yours..replaced the hazard switch and works perfectly...try the turn signal and then cycle the hazard a few times..if the turn signals suddenly work then it's the switch or the switch may already be toast..
