i'm sure somone will chime in or i will double check my sources and see. Usualy if you do a search on google for " Porsche 944 download manual" you might find what you need. I know there is a download for the 16 valve engine

The Porsche Workshop Manual Volume 1-A deals with the details of the 16 Valve Engine - A great Resource for many 944 Owners.
See also: Clark's Garage Home Page The garage/shop manual there has allot of good useful information also.

I found that i can remove the exhaust manifold, or move them out of the way by removing just the 3 bolts closet to the cab, and not all of them. There is a rad fluid drain plug just above the exhaust at the cab area.

Are you sure it's a head gasket problem and not just oil cooler seals?

IS THE oil cooler not just on the turbo?

the n/a's also have coolers, just not external like the turbo's. I think the n/a oil cooler seals are much more prone to leaking and causing cross mixing of the fluids than the turbo does.

robm-951 is correct. Oil cooler seals are one of the most common problems with the N/As. Fortunately it is less work than a headgasket job.
