Arg! Going into withdrawal!
 

I took my beloved 924S in to the shop this morning, as I was getting a fairly strong smell of gas in the car. Good news and bad news:

Bad News: it seems that (a normally reliable) stereo installation place accidentally put a small hole in my gas tank. So the tranny had to be dropped, etc to remove the tank. The shop sent the tank off to a specialist to hopefully be fixed, cleaned and pressure tested. Unfortunately, they didn't get the tank back today :( So I'm Porsche-less tonight :(

Good news: it looks like the stereo installer is going to pick up the tab, since he personally knows the mechanic... which is a great relief since I don't think this is gonna be that cheap.

I'm hoping to get her back in one piece tomorrow.

Wow, that's good news that the installer is willing to pick up the tab.

I just had a new deck and front speakers install in mine. No AM, which is fine since that's all I had for three months of commuting. Talk radio gets old fast.

Damn you are lucky I don't know when I will be driving my 951 again. It's been like a month now.
