WaterSpots out and my car got HIT!
Okay, thanks to all the waterspot replies. I took it to the recon shop to get the water spots out by letting him buff the glass. They are not completely gone, but for 25 dolla, it looks A LOT BETTER, driveable, and within my satisfaction range to spend my money on suspension and not glass...
OH BUT WAIT Recon Shop on Phone: "Yeah, the water spots mostly came out, looks good. Did you have car damage when you dropped it off here?" Me: "Uhh, car damage, what do you mean?" Recon Shop: "OH, you must not have. There's damage to your driver side front fender." Me: "Uhh, WHAT?!" Recon Shop: "Someone must have hit it over night." Me: "I've got class right now, I'll be over as soon as it lets out." Upon seeing the car "AHHHH ****" Yup, gonna need a new fender. For those who haven't been keeping up with my plight, first my last 88 Black 951 was side swiped while parked at my g/fs. Then I got it fixed. 6 days 1 hour later I got rear-ended, car TOTALED. Bought new 88 951 S (White). It's been on the road twice with me (not including the drive back from CHICAGO where I FLEW after 9/11 to get it). Now, it gets HIT. I think it's a sign, I need a Hummer. |

Aw man, I'm sorry to hear about all that......that's quite a streak of bad luck.
You don't need a Hummer, you need a Cayenne........no, you need to keep your 951 S. |

Jeez, I read your post earlier and I thought ,what can I say to make this guy feel better........well probably not much, except we feel your pain and FRUSTRASTION, over somthing YOU had nothing to do with, it's not easy being us. Sorry for your trouble, and although aggravating to the nines, it too will pass, eventually. You should know you're not the only one on these boards who this stuff happens to. Best, Jim H

I was hit today, so I feal your pain. A lady ran into mr from behind while talking on her cell phone in her SUV. But here is the kicker, she told one whopper of a lie when the cops showed up, she said that I rolled back into her and did the damage myself! So without any witnesses he didin't give her a ticket and now our insurance companies have to fight it out. This woman was pure EVIL! First she said she hit me and it was her fault, then after talking to her husband/attorney she changes her story to make sure she does not get the ticket. Oh well of to civil court I go!

Sadly, attorneys are the lowest form of life on God's good earth. They make insurance salesmen look good.
Cheers! Bob S.

Hey Nabeel..
Not up to an honest profession like corporate accountant? There may be jobs opening at a big energy company or perhaps an international communications corp with headquarters in the Cayman Islands!! Ohhh..sorry, those to are "no longer relevant...One of them got Lay'ed....... Cheers!! Bob S. Seriously, if you do go to law school, try not to develop the cynical attitude prevalent in the business. During my long career as a financial analyst, I had to deal with some real yoyos. On the flip side, the best attys I know are those who work for the public sector (public defender, government lawyer, etc). They make a reasonable living and do a lot of good. So many of the others begin by feeling they are better than most folks and after awhile, really begin to believe their own hype!!

Man Scott R, I'm pissed just hearing about that. People like that suck ass. I think I would have taken a swing at her with the cop standing there.

Bob S.,
Thanks for the advice. I told all my friends a long time ago that if I ever start acting like a big shot......they have my permission to 'deflate my ego' using whatever means they choose. I've wanted to be a lawyer since I was about 13 years old, and have also been interested in international relations/diplomacy.....so I guess international law is in the works for me. |

Thanks for the responses guys.
Scott - i feel bad for you man. If she'd have done a bold face lie like that in front of me (I'm am about as anti-lying as it gets), I'd have kicked her head in (did I mention I need anger management?). The one post is right, the BLACK BOX TELLS ALL if it was new. Also, PHONE RECORDS!!!! Subpena them, SUE HER ASS OFF I'm not saying this because I'm a mean SOB, I'm saying this because I'm a VINDICTIVE SOB There's a fine line between the two, I walk it quite well !

Thankfully we were on our way back from a business luncheon and I had a co-worker in the car with me. In fact he shouted "were gonna get hit!" Before I noticed that she was not stopping. I wish I had even a vague underdstanding of the law, but at the scene the officer said that since he was in the car with me, that he could not be a witness. So this is partially my fault for not stopping someone else to stay and fill out a report. Today I am supposed to speak to the insurance company and they claim that they will resolve it with the other persons insurance company. Oh well I was loooking for an excuse to repaint this thing anyway. It's just hard to open the garage door now and see the whole back end munched up.

Can't be a witness because he was in the car with you? I'm no law expert, but that sounds like a huge load of crap to me. You may want to speak to a lawyer yourself, or have your insurance company get you a lawyer.

Just spoke with the insurance companies lawyer a little while ago. He took a statement from my witness, and says that it'
s valid! So he is off to fight the other insurance company. They are also going to do a survey of the intersection to determine the road grade. I can tell you guys right now it's a completely flat intersection! If I rolled back I would have to have been in reverse!
