best economical rear shock
What would be the best rear shock of a 86' NA...she is on the road now, and I notice it bounces a lttle thru the dips in the road...But I cant spend too much yet, I still have a few more parts to get for her.....Thanks Frank

BOGE/SACHS will give you good service & yet won't cost you a fortune, lets say they are in the (middle shocks not expensive but not cheap neither). They have them here on Pelican,I will stay away from KYB if possible.Of course your car being an 86 you migth have Koni inserts in the front & it's usually not recommended to mismatch them.Take care

Koni sports are still on sale at Paragon today.
$240 for both, pretty cheap. http://www.*****************.com/Koni_Rear_Sport_Shock_p/koni-8040-1035s.htm Last edited by RedBaron; 05-30-2011 at 05:35 PM.. |

Excellent price @ $120ea = $240 pair plus shipping. These are "sport shocks". If you read the description they are designed for agressive street or track use. Reading further they could lower the rear a few mm. Set at the softest setting, you should have the same feel as stock rear shocks. Just wanted to point out the small details. Agreeing with ernie, no KYB. GL John

Another vote for the Koni's. At that price very hard to beat.

well i don't know how much is not too much but. I purchased some from autozone a long time ago one of them gave out a while back ago but the are lifetime and they were replaced.
think they were about 40$ for the pair. konis are way better but way more expensive. something is better then nothing especially if you were like me when i first bought my car a student with no job and front sruts completly shot jumping around like a lowrider

If you are a student with no job you might have made the wrong choice buying a 944...
You could find used low mile Konis though for a decent price. |
