clutch

well, its been some time since i posted here! used to log in as "bigyagi", but for some reason, i could not do it. even my e-mail addy was not in the system.
anyhoo, i have to do my clutch. the rubber hockey puck let go some time ago, and now im finally getting around to doing the job.
my question. has anyone fitted the power clutch kit from vertex. ?? and, how do you rate it!
also, im changing out my shox. i put heavy duty ones in there, and my back cant take the hammering from the poor roads here in windsor (or detroit too, for that matter). any thoughts on bilsteins ??
thanks guys .
bob.

^^^First welcome back ,will be nice to know what your driving.Vertex clutch kit is just fine (I had one) no problem, for the rear shocks can't tell you before we know what your driving & how is the front set up?.(Type of struts-insert & is the car lowered)

only other mod is an fr wilk chip . im looking at putting a set of headers on it, and deleting the cat.its probably well clogged now.

OK,personally I'll get they Kyb out and go with Boge/Sachs insert front & Boge/Sachs rear.If the roads in your area are that bad I wouldn't lowered the car neither front or rear and keep it stock higth. If not done yet maybe upgrade to 16" wheels with a good quality tire.

The KYBs are fairly cheap and from all accounts don't seem to work on 944's that well, the stock rear shocks (Boge) on my car are still good after all these years (low mileage).
Clutches ? I've been lucky my rubber centred plate was in very good condition when I did my 2.7 swap, minimal deflection @ the rubber ,no cracks in the lining and enough lining left to refit.
All I did was repack the thrust bearing, clean and lube the fork needle roller bearings, better than ever.
I have heard there is more transmission noise with the replacement spring centered disk, but I don't know from experience.
