air condx
anyone know where i can get one of the 90 degree fittings (r12 type) for an 84 944.
last time i topped the system up, i loosened the drive belt right off, to gain access to the port, moving the compressor right over, and used a 30inch lengh of steel bar, with a mounting bracket/ bolt into one of the alternator bolt holes, to put pressure on the drive belt. at the end of my steelbar, i have a 2 inch diameter ball race that runs on the outside of the drive belt to give tension to drive the unit, but its really a pain to do. and a two person job as well. someone must sell this 90 degree elbow! thanks, bob. |
