major newbie, wheels and tires on 944
I am looking at getting a new set of rims and tires for a 944. I was wondering what wheels will fit on a 1984 944. I am completely clueless as to offset or basically anything so please inform me. I'm looking particularly at a set of OEM 17" boxter wheels and Enkei NT03+M.

The 84 requires the early offset rims, that is 23mm front and 12mm rear, unless you want to use 1" or larger spacers to mount late offset rims. Most all rims on the back side will have the offset cast or stamped there along with the width (Measured as a J number, or an 8J rim is 8" wide, while a 10J rim is 10" wide, etc.
An "et" of 23 front and an et of 12 rear fits the early cars, while an et of 52 front, and an et of 37 rear are late offset rims. Of course the bolt mounting pattern must be 5 lugs on a 130mm circle, for all Porsches, also stated as 5 x 130. Hope this helps
