what CURRENT speakers fit in the 10 speaker door panels?
One of my mid bass drivers went bad this past weekend... anyone change them out recently and have an idea of what's available in the 2010/2011 catalogs?

I bought mids at dealer about 1-1/2 yr ago. $50 ea.
Probably some better modern after markets, but w/ the x-over, I elected to stick w/ OEM As you can tell, I don't know a whole lot about sound systems. hehe

well, it's good to know they're still in the system at Porsche...
Thanks for that, though I'll probably use this as an excuse to buy something fancy

In the front door panels below I fit PYLE - PLG54. They are 5" Bass Woofers and with 200watts RMS they can handle the power. They were perfect drop in's except for the huge magnet in back,10 min work and they fit. If you like cabin filled with bass/lows they are great. For the price of $30.00 a pair new they are hard to beat. For the Mids I installed PYLE - PMG40. 4" mid range and drop in's, again at $30.00 a pair they were perfect. Porsche supplied very good tweeters in the Upper front part of the door panel, so I replaced them with OEM tweeters. I do not like the crossovers as supplied in the 10 speaker system panels (The ones in the speaker cassettes of the door panels) , so I wired around them and out of a 10 channel equalizer.

Boston Acoustics SE50's awesome sound low and high range speakers with crossovers...took a bit to get the tweeters to mount, but the grilles go over them perfectly.
