Broken odometer
 

Hey guys I am trying to get my odometer ticking, my car is a 1984 944. All the gears are moving properly, even the little red gear that is supposed to get tore up. The odometer itself and the trip meter dont move a budge even though the gear is turning, any ideas?

When the gears spin --- is the shaft(s) spinning with the gear?
