New here and to Porsche

Hello all,

I'm new on the forums and just picked up a 944. She's in rough shape..but I'm excited for the project. It's a an 83 N/A. I picked up the car and a turbo engine/trans. I'm currently stripping it down for paint. Here's the car when I got it

Anyone know what kinda wheels these are? They're 16's. Looks like they were gold originally.

Welcome! Where are you from?

The wheels appear to be BBS or Mahle. Are there any logos or stamps near the lug holes or on the back side?

Thanks for the responses and welcomes! I'm near Columbus Ohio. There's some stamping on the rims near the center but they don't clearly indicate the manufacture.

Willkommen!

The car doesn't look all that bad, really. But if you plan on turbocharging it, be advised that it will require FAR more than a a simple turbo engine and transmission swap-in, to be a successful conversion.

Welcome Darude35 - Welcome to the Pelican Group Insane Asylum - ha,ha.

What most of us do for future posts that is very helpful is to add our location in just below the users logo, and add in the year and model of car you have in the signature lines (Bottom of the post). These add ins helps answer many questions if you post in the future and need help with your car or any thing.

Just a suggestion though, and is not totally necessary.

Thanks for the advice! I've been meaning to update those. I found out my rims are MSW (Now OZ) Ceres style 16x7's. I've heard they're somewhat rare and seem pretty light though I haven't weighed them out.

Wild man, I know I have to modify the header panel to place the intercooler. I've also picked up a turbo torson bar, full rear end and Koni shocks. My plan is to upgrade the front end as well. Seems like most of these are bolt in applications. Anything I'm missing? Any advice on parts?
