Gearbox
Driving the 944 most days now found a few things that may need attention. Gearbox is a little 'coggy' into 2 and 3rd when cold, changes fine when warm. By coggy I mean she very slighty grabs at the end of the gear change. 155,000 miles on her. Any ideas?
The winshield wipers do not stop at the bottom of the indow either, they stop wherever I switch them off. Thanx in advance. |

Try draining all of the old gear lube out, and switching to Redline MT-90.
Column switch (Included wiper switch) is very worn and needs to be replaced to cure the wiper problem.

The 951 gearbox in my '84 had a pretty abusive prior owner, changing the fluid out before winter comes and it gets cold keeps it happy.

I also double clutch during warm up. Once warm I switch to single clutching.
