My friends 924 no start need help

Hi 924 forum,

I need to help my friends 924 to go back o the road.

After a few month parking in the garage the car was starting with no issue.

It ran for 5 minutes and now it won´t start anymore?

What EMS system Bosch used in the 924 natural asporated.


K-jetronik or L Jetronic or KE Jetronic.

Where should I start to look for.

if is a 2,0L rest of the world is a K-jetronic

if is a 2,0L USA probably a KE-jetronic(lambda control)

if is a 2,5L(924s) is a L-jetronic

Say every time the year,vin number or engine number so is easy to get information.

Check the fuel pump relay carefully..If that has failed car won't start.

no start,2 posibility:
-without fuel
-without spark

Without spark:try to cranck and see if the spark exist,if exist then go to fuel problems
if the spark don't exist problem with coil,ignition modul,sometimes key ignition switch....

fuel trouble(for 924).

-big vacuum leak or blocked fuel distributer plate.Put out one of the injector,bridge the fuel pump relay and with a finger try to move the distributor plate from air cleaner hole and see if fuel goes too injectors
-maybe the fuel filters after years was glocked?
-the cold-start valve maybe doesn't have power or is broken?
-the warm up regulator is glocked and the engine run very lean(the IN fuel line/biger bolt) have a filter behind the bolt and if is opstrubted then the car goes lean and esitate to start).

I wil try to bridge fuel pump and look carefoul what hapened
