Indexing torsion bars
I am going to lower my 1984 944 n/a today. There is a good tech article someplace???? if anyone can find it send me a post. Also, anyone that has done this and may have advice, well lets hear it. I would like to lower the back 2 inchs, how many splines do I move? I figure about 11.

I reacon 1 spline may just be enough and 2 splines may be too
much. All decumentation suggest that you need to drop the whole suspension down to do the job thus making this job very difficult I would like to drop my one too by one spline. If you don't want to do the indexing job you can just drop the suspension by almost 1 inch without doing any indexing. |
