What is this relay for?

I have been looking online all day to figure out why I have this relay in my glove box.(bored at work) I remember putting it in there a while ago but now I can't figure out what it goes to, even after looking at the relays in my car.

Bosch 0 332 204 150

Head light relay? Turn signal relay? Why can't I figure it out?

Thanks.

Not sure but I think thats the one that stops the car from being engulfed in flames over 53mph.......I'm new to Porsche I may be wrong though.....................

Looks like a universal fog light relay

Wow, I am glad that have a spare in my glove box. I wouldn't want my car engulfed in flames.

Or it's the relay that keeps the gremlins away.

another use for relay

Great answers provided earlier but it appears to be related to the security system or the door locking system. Take a look at page 10 of this PDF file below for one use of this specific relay model number.

The VW logo version probably sells for just $15.99 ...

I just saw this used relay listed on eBay for $24.99 ...

Or you can go to autozone or Napa and get a universal fog relay for 8.99, just like that one no VW logo though.

that is a very standard relay. i think the car uses the same one for the horn and headlights and fog lights, if i am not mistaken. i had one just like it that i used as a secondary relay for the cooling fans.

I have this plugged into as my DME relay, anyone know why?
It's a 82 sc with a 964 3.6 twin plug, I was told it had ruf DME, but it is a 911 xxxx DME box part number?

This relay is used for everything from Harley Sportsters to 18 wheelers for various things. On the Porsche they can be used for fuel pumps or security systems.

GreenWater 08-15-2013 01:45 PM
