Yes, there are OEM Fuchs that fit a late offset 944!
 

They're the rear wheels stock on a 1967 911R. They are OEM 15x7 at 49mm offset! But, last time four were on fleabay you could rebuild a 951S trans four times over and still be under the price of them!

But over on the 911-Tech forum somebody is remaking them! Would post a link to the thread but not sure if that is permitted?

You can also get the wheels off the newer Sport Classic 911. Thing is the wheels cost about as much as most people buy there 944 for.

Mike Lindsey has been remanufacturing them for some time out of old factory Fuchs cores, any size, any offset, any width rim. Costly but cheaper than Sport Classics.

Who wants to spend what, $2K for 911R wheels to put on a super heavy 944 anyway ;)

Yea I know they aren't cost effective. I'm not in the market for wheels, just figured I'd point out another option.

In my opinion the 19's are a bit large cosmetically for the 944, but thats me.

I know about the Lindsey wheels, and all his company's other products! Good tip!

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to go to 86 control arms F&R to run Fuchs???

it would be cheaper and easier to fly to Germany, buy a foundry, and make new wheels.

Don't think you can do that for less than $500..:cool:

You would need arms and spindles at the front and hubs at the back, but yes much cheaper. Also cheaper would be to fit 1in fender extensions such as these:

Early offset also really sets off Fuchs because you can run a bigger lip. The new late offset Fuchs are basically flat on the face:

you can buy a full set of real live, date coded, 1967 911R deep 6 wheels for $500? how many sets do you have?

Yeh, I wish. Just showing the exaggerated lip on early offsets compared to later. Even my 8 inch 15's have a nice lip at the rear, the late offset Fuchs basically have a flat face and no lip. Personally I think the lip makes the wheel.

19" 997T double spokes and 19" Speedster Fuchs. Gonna need at least 285/30-19 rubber. 235 fronts . Rolled fenders (Be really careful)

Prob gonna need to invest in a case of Prep H, after driving around on pot hole public streets & speed bumps, :D
