88' 951! Nice!!!!
I have for sale a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo or also known as Porsche 951. This car is in amazing condition for its age. The only major problem it has is the odometer has stopped working. But it has roughly 150K miles on it. Paint is all original and so is interior except the shifter knob. The dash has a few cracks in it and there is a minor tear in the passenger seat. I have all the records ever since it was bought for the very first time. I have replaced the CV Axles, Power steering pump, Rack and pinion, starter, and windshield washer motor in the past couple months. It also has all of the following:
Powder keg coating. Rebuilt a arms. Cat by pass. new Slave cylinder clutch. new Radiator. Embroidered turbo mats. Lowered 1.4 in. Tial adapter flanges. Bosch fuel pressure regulator. New battery. Wide fire head gasket. Fuel damper hose. marine grade stainless steel hose clamps. New water pump and timing belt. Hood shocks. Oil has been changed as needed. I bought this car in July but I really need the money. It has a few mods to the engine but nothing too major. All-in-all, this car is in amazing condition for its age. And it is extremely fast. It is a head turner everywhere I go. I hate to sell her. I am asking 10000 obo. and this price is VERY negotiable. I am looking for a mazda rx8. Text Tyler at 434-547-7818 for pictures and more info. Thanks Tyler

Let's see - is this the third or fourth time you have listed this '88 Turbo without any replies.
Seems to be an average condition car - maybe. Average condition '88 Turbos have been listed for $6500 or even $7000 without selling. If the car is very presentable in person with all receipts, and is mechanically sound, it may sell for $5000 tops in today's economy. Good luck with your sale.

Originally it was just the regular turbo. But the previous owner before me had a larger turbo put on which was the same turbo has the turbo s. And the powder coating is basically a substance put on hoses and anything else that has a hard consistency. It is basically just a protectant to make everything last longer and prevents it from being chipped or scratched.
To cocacolakid: your right in a degree. I would prob take 8k at the lowest.

There are many differences between a turbo S and turbo besides the turbo it's self. Calling it a Turbo S is wrong and misleading. I know what powder coating is but the "keg" threw me off. You can't powder coat hoses, it will just fall off if the rubber actually stood up to the bake temp. In fact powder coating anything would be a pia as it would require removal and disassembly , so I was wondering what parts had been done. Did you actually own and drive this car or are you just trying to flip it?

The OP never said it was a turboS, it's just a regular 951. Pictures would be nice and the following items are important to get an accurate value:
1. When were the belts done? 2. What wheels are on the car? 3. What tires and what wear left? 4. What is the clutch wear (you can measure it through the inspection hole)? 5. What transmission (cooler, LSD)? 6. Compression numbers would be good? IMO start at $5k and accept $4k as it stands for the quick sale you desire. |

How do you upload photos? And its not on the rubber hoses. If you can tell me how to upload photos i can show you cause i don't know exactly what its called.
I have turbo twist eheels on it. BRAND NEW front tires. Less than a 100good miles on them. They are 225sasking and the rear have prob 75%e tread.they are 255s. I believe its lsd trans but not 100%. Yes i have owned this car since July but im just putting too much money in it so i want something more reliable. sorry for the confusion.

It looks pretty nice, The intake has been powder coated.. okay. It looks good. Even that little fuel line looks new. Look into the tranny a bit. If it's the AOR one with the cooler and LSD you may be getting close to your $8K but it still may be tough to get especially with 150K and the odometer not working, so it's essentially, TMU. There just way too many deals on these cars out there right now. good luck

I don't know, there must be numbers on it somewhere. If it has the cooling tubes and has an LSD I think that's it, but I'm not 100% sure on that

That's where I saw it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, I see a Lindsey Racing steam vent kit and stainless braided fuel lines to the rail.
