Stereo fader control in a 1988?
I have the option code for the premium sound system, and the speaker grilles in the door, but the original speakers (except the tweeters in the door) have been disconnected and/or removed. Someone installed some round 6" speakers in the doors. That was all I had when I got it. Someone obviously added an aftermarket stereo and plopped the old factory deck in before selling the car at some point. I now added a Bose woofer box and some Bose sattelite speakers wired into the rear speaker outputs.
The deck is the original (I assume) Blaupunkt Reno stereo with cassette (of which I have 2, Cream's greatest hits and the Eagles Greatest hits Volume 1!) I wanted to send more signal to the rear speakers, and lo and behold, NO FADER CONTROL anywhere I can find on or off the stereo. My '86 had the fader on the console, I see nothing anywhere on this one. Anyone? Jeff |
ah HA!
Never mind...I found it. If you pull on the volume knob on the stereo and turn it, that adjusts the fade. Jeff |
