Well, I hope that none of those things happen either!

While I'm awaiting service records, my friend who owns the dealership said that the "engine was overhauled at 90k miles" - which I hope means, at minimum, timing belt, balance belt, water pump.

I haven't tracked down my oil leaks, but have noted that they are at the front of the engine somewhere, but behind the belts (which are dry). About everything else under there is wet - but I can't figure out what is causing it...

Wolfe - I'd love a 911 someday. Perhaps when my kids are grown up and out of the house!

Just got my oil changed. The dealership had 10w30 in it - I went with 20w50. I had to re-adjust my idle up about 200rpm as a result. I suppose that part of my high idle issue was thin oil.
