Reusing a head gasket?

Some already know my story.(my cars story that is)

What do you guys think about reusing a head gasket? I know, I know. Don't! That is what most/all will probably say. Here is why I ask. I install a new head gasket and drove the car 9 miles and turned it off.(bent the valves that is) So now the head is coming back off. Do you think the head gasket could be reused?

Only if you want to take the head off a third time...

Ha ha, this is the third time.

That was one expensive, one way, trip to work.

Only if the price of the gasket exceed your hourly salary x the hours to take it apart (for the fourth time) and put it together + the cost of the gasket... I'm no math genius but :rolleyes::rolleyes:

One-time use due to the crush on it. They're pretty cheap, really. Cheaper than the time it'll take you to do over.

I wish you better luck with your 944!

What was the issue? No compression if I remember correctly. What did you figure out?

I haven't gotten the car home yet. It's still here at my work. ha ha. We upgraded our AAA to have 100 miles of towing a year, but I have to wait 7 days before it kicks in. So now we play the waiting game. ha ha. I am guessing the valves.
