Question 84 944 clutch release problems

I have a problem finding out what to fix on my car. The clutch will work fine for a while then as I am driving the clutch pedal when depressed will snap all the way to the floor and the clutch will not release. After the car sits for a few day it works fine. The fluid level is fine and the doesn't appear to be any leaks on the master cylinder. I have checked for leaks under the clutch actuator, nothing. The fluid level seems to stay constant and I can find no signs of a leak. Does any one have any idea what I'm dealing with?

clarification

Apologies friend. meant to say sticky clutch MASTER cylinder. They go all the time. You can squirt some silicone under the boot and it might come back, but you prob want to replace the master. I am on my fourth. Our sponsor sells them at a reasonable price and the quality is as good as it gets. Don't take it personally it happens to all of us at one time or another.

As for a separate rez for the clutch... I never needed one and you would have to set up some kind of a low fluid warning light. currently, the low fluid brake light operates the e brake, low fluid indicator for both the clutch and brakes. I would stay with the stock setup and change fluid every 6 months or so.

Replace clutch master, WYAIT, clean out the rez and replace fluid. 2 13 mm nuts hold the master to the firewall. the lock nut to the pedal is 13mm as well and the shank is 8mm. When installing the new master adjust the play so that the shank has no play but is not preloaded. (no jiggle, but not tight) Let us know how that works out.

Bleed the master by loosening the 12mm flare nut and using it as a bleeder. Loosen, push, tighten, release. Put a drop rag to catch the fluid and clean it all thoroughly to save the paint.
