of German decent

I was just thinking, yea haha, but how many of you are from German decent?? I am, the family fled when Hitler got involved. I also wonder if this may have something to do with my love for Porsche's ??

Nope no German full British down to the accent haha. I have a Range Rover, so I'm British with a British vehicle rather than a German with a German car haha

Both sides of my family are of German decent 100% including me. All emigrated to the US in the mid 1860's, a couple fought in the Civil War immediately after arriving here. I grew up in eastern Wisconsin, it is heavily populated by German immigrants.

My last name is Diederichs.

Jeff, that is.

Yep, my Berlin born father fled the Nazis in 1938 and settled in England. I like Porsches because they are good cars, despite them being German and the company founder benefitting greatly from the Nazis.
There are still plenty of neo-Nazis in Germany

I'm an Army brat.
Born in Wiesbaden back in 1965; dad was stationed there and moved back when I was 2ish.
Been back a few times to visit family.
This 84 is my first German car although I did have a short affair with an Italian redhead for a year (F car, 1981 308 gtbi). Great fun, big money to repair. The funny thing is that I am enjoying the 944 about just as much!

I'm German....and English, Irish, Scottish, French, Dutch, Swiss, Swedish, and Armenian. I know I'm a mess. I'm only 1/8th German but my last name is Mueller. The current 3 generations of Mueller men have loved Porsches. We've all had them, along with BMW and Mercedes (that includes the racing version of the 300SL Gullwing). So yea, I'd say it influences our car decisions. German stuff=amazing
