spark plug voltage
Anyone know what the spark voltage is on the 944 using the OEM coil? I hooked an ignition analyzer up and saw just over 6,000 (6kv) volts and one near 9kv. The color of the spark on the plugs wasn't visually bright white which led me to use the analyzer. I expected to see around 20kv on the plug wires. The coil is new and the ohms between pins was 1.1 ohms and 7200 to the output center plug. Spark plugs are right on at .7mm each.

Roughly 28-30k volts on oem coil. Recommend checking input voltage on coil from dme. Also ground on engine..... Later

I have 12volts showing on both pins with ignition on. I have new plug wire set coming in on Thursday and will confirm the ground on the engine.
