Porsche 944 Flexplate Damper UUGGHHHH!!!!!!
Hey everyone,
I am currently having trouble with the flexplate damper on my 84 944. I was thinking of the clutch disk conversion and already have the pressure plate and flywheel for it. However, I am still confused since every search I do people talk about the conversion but no one actually chimes in on whether they've done it, driven it, and if it works or not. The other BIG QUESTION is the cir-clip that's on the old damper. I read that that clip is there so the shaft doesn't slide back and damage the auto trans. This cir-clip cant be put back on if I do the conversion can it? I need some guidance as to what to do. Is there anyone experienced in this area? |

It works. Shifts might feel slightly firmer (noticeable) because there is no longer a rubber dampener in the driveline. Not bad though.
Circlip stays off. Shaft should be pretty well held in place by the coupler/torque converter thing at the rear. |
