Horrible noise from under my car!

Hey everyone, as you may know i just bought a 90 S2 Cab. I was driving it last night and while in neutral or under 20 MPH in any gear when i release my clutch a horrible squeak starts. I know that the driveshaft is going to be noisy, but this squeak is far from normal in sound. it sounds like a metal to metal sound, I just had some exhaust work so could it be some loose metal in the drive shaft cover? Thank you all so much for your help!

Does noise vary in pitch with wheel speed?

You might get under the car, grab the exhaust (after it cools or with gloves if hot) and wiggle it to see if you can cause sound to happen. Because exhaust work was done, something could be rubbing. I'd look there first.

See if any heat shields have loosened or were not put back properly.

The noise does change with wheel / engine speed. Unfortunately, I am at my office now and i cant go out and work on it. The car was in the shop for a resonator problem, which i guess became a different problem now, oh the joys of owning these amazing cars. Thanks again!

I lost a ferret a few days ago. Please look under your car to see if he is wedged in there somewhere. Thanks in advance.

Well, just got the car up on stands and it is coming from the point where the driveshaft meets the tranny. I do know that I replaced the tranny oil with amsoil the other day and i am pretty sure its at the right level. once I was under the car i was able to pull two rubber gromets off (lubing point possibly?) and I might shoot some grease into it to see if thats it. the exhaust work seems to be clear of the moving parts so i dont think thats the cause of it. Any suggestions guys?

Thought I had it fixed after completely greasing every moving part i could get to. It kinda sounds like something is loose in a way and its just spinning and spinning. is there so called "grease points" where i can inject grease into the main bearings on the driveshaft? I believe the main sound is coming from where the shifter is located on the driveshaft tube and up towards the engine. Thanks again.
