I've seen that one & it is one nice 944S2 plus being the last year made it's a none sunroof an row model, probably imported from Japan.Hard to say but beside the front splitter it seem to have a 968 turbo adjustable rear spoiler(the 91 came with the same style rear spoiler as the regular 968 less the brake ligth) But like mention it's a trade, did you inquire if he is interested in selling it.Btw it's a very rare car in Canada, first time I've seen a none sunroof S2 up here.

Not worth it. You'll end up rebuilding too much in the car. You'll be out another 10k for "stuff" and then you'll also be out a 911. Pass and look elswhere. I'd look at a 100k mile 944s2 with a rebuilt head, new clutch and other rebuilt/new goodies.

If all records & receipts for up to date maintenance are available & the chain/tensioner & pads as been done(check out ok) & the clutch has some life left in it which I believe it has with only 76K klms on the car, after a PPI done and ok by an independent shop or mechanic which knows everything there is to know about a 944S2 personally I would offer the guy $14K CDN for it.And yes before I get flame for quoting such a high prize by our south of the border friends I would like for them to realize that the 944s/968 CDN market is completely different from the one in the US & usually such cars are very well taken care off up here.So--- kyote---- if what mention above come through with flying colors and you have $14k stash in your piggy bank break it & pay the man.

Do not agree, please Sir point me in the rigth direction. What will be need to be rebuilt that will cost $10K on a car that has only 76K klms approx 50K miles on the odo unless it has been badly abuse and none maintain & doesn't look like this one has.And unless I misunderstood the seller wants $15k for it (if it's $15K plus a 911 this is another ball game).

It looks to be a very pretty car. I would say if records and receipts are all good, in Canada the car would fetch a good price. Maintenance would be the main point to consider in this purchase. I might offer 12K to start negociations... That's just me...

He wants a trade though. I don't see a selling price anywhere on the ad.

Don't know if this price is on top of a trade in but don't believe so,I still say if you could get it for $14K it will be a fair price for that car.Reason first like mention because of the 944s market situation up here, secondly late row 944 S2 coupe as this one are rarely seen here even the CDN one specs are.I keep a sharp eyes on the 928/944/968 market & in the last year I've only seen a couple of decent coupe come up for sale,S2 Cab seem to be more available with at least six for sale last year,no 91 ever came up for sale. You can probably find 944s a all kind & a lot cheaper but most of them have been abuse not probably maintain or someone race the Shi***t out of them.

I contacted him and asked if he were to sell it without a trade what would he want.

I thought it could be a good buy because its year and rarity. I guess if it was a turbo of the same year it would be worth it.

Well friend your only 22 HP short of the turbo less the maintenance hassle of a turbo car ,so I still say it does worth $14K CDN.Btw I'm under the impression that your not seriously considering buying this car but just making sure that the posted subject stay around for a while ,sorry to be so blunt about this. But I'm known on this forum & others for the guy that saying what he has in the back of is mind should come out the front door like it or not.

Yea you could be right, I like hearing others opinions, nothing wrong with that... that's what these forums are for. Keeping on saying what you think ernie9944.... good point about the 22 horsepower. I'm really set on a last year 944 with the 968 wing, orginally had to be a turbo but considering the s2 now, they are just both hard to come by.

I think you can buy a reproduction of the wing. Why not get the 968 RS adjustable wing

Agree with you on this one,why spend money on a RS wing which were not really design for a street driven car anyway. The OEM 968 wing just look fine on an S2 or 951.(my taste)

That car looks well maintained...if it passes a good, competant PPI...$12,000-$13000 is all I'd pay. It could be a Japanese import, or an actual Euro import.

I think he's offering the car + cash for a 911 convert...not the other way 'round.
