Sad and abandoned 924/944/968
Over on the 911 forum there is an interesting thread of sad and abandoned 911s. Not for the faint of heart.
I searched here and couldn't find anything similar, so I am starting this thread. Please add your own photos (or photos of your own car awaiting revival!) Here are a few sad ones to begin with: This one is 85 % "finished" ![]() This one "has potential" ![]() "Ran when parked"

I wish I had taken pictures of mine when it first arrived all sad in my driveway.. I was too busy holding back tears. Not as bad at those though. She is coming along nicely now though. Nice new interior and waiting for her transplant so she can go to the paint shop

What engine is in this thing? That doesn't look like the normal coolant reservoir and that intake manifold looks like it's from a 928....???[/QUOTE]
Thats a 2.0L slug from a 924 n/a. Probably the car is as well, with 944 bodywork.

The trunk is wrong, the door is off a coupe, and the windshield frame is wrong. I just assumed it was a factory cab, never seen a convert before. Although it probably would've been cheaper to just buy an S2... |
