Light bulbs or electrical problem brewing?

Since March, I've had the driver's fog light and both left and right front marker lights go out. They are the original units and bulbs from 1986. Chalking it up to the bulbs giving up the ghost finally and about to place them. However, I noticed today that the cigarette lighter is also out. Do I have an electrical issue brewing? Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter?

Looking at the circuit diagram it appears that for USA cars the cig lighter shares a feed with the clock and glovebox lights. If these are still working then the fuse to that circuit is OK. Is it just the light around the cig lighter that has gone, or the operation of the lighter?

TBH - I don't think you have an electrical issue brewing, you have been very lucky to have the original bulbs last that long! Your new ones will probably not last anywhere near that time, as production quality these days is not what it used to be!

The clock is definitely still working. I have not checked the glove box light. Basically, my cell phone charger is no longer pulling a charge when plugged into the cigarette lighter and the element doesn't heat to light a cigar. Prior to the 4-20-13, it would pull a charge for a cell phone charger and heat but you had to hold it physically down to heat. It would not hold and then release itself.

My cigarette lighter holder wouldn't work with anything that was plugged into it. I had to go to autozone and get a generic one and install it (a little mod) so my phone charger or radar would plug in and stay in.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
