Part number help please
 

Can someone help me with a part number for the upper dip stick grommet seal? I bought part #90017404440 and its way too big. It's for a later-style stick. Much appreciated in advance!

Are you talking about the O-ring?

You can only get it with the dip stick

Just go to a hardware store and either get a O-ring kit for a few bucks or see if they sell individual O-rings.

I bought a metric O-ring kit at harbor freight for $3 and it's very handy for these kind of problems.

Can only buy the entire stick? Damn. Looks like its time for a trip to Harbor Freight tomorrow. Thanks.

On a side note, I was pressure testing for vacuum leaks and if the seemingly insignificant seal isn't on there on the dipstick, an amazing amount of air leaks past.
