968 Seat Style

Looking around at 968's I see two different seat styles, one with multiple panels on the earlier cars and ones with three panels on the later cars. Do all 92's have this style?

Can the 92's be leather or non leather? I thought the owner of the above car said that they were NOT leather. The above picture is the only car I have seen with the red piping, was this an option?

Here's an image of a 95 leather seat (or the ad says it's leather):

One more comfortable than the other? Do all 968's have power seats? Just trying to learn the 968's.....thanks!

In 94 I believe the seats all changed to the picture of what you have in the 95. Also, you got cabin filters on the later cars, which is nice.

Neat little piece of trivia, only the 92 968 had a recessed hood emblem, so if you see a 92 without the recessed emblem, most likely the hood has been replaced.

Pretty sure all seating surfaces were leather, but the back of the seats could be vinyl. Fairly rare is the full leather interior option, which included a leather dash.

Seat power was an option, as was heated seats.

Keep in mind, a popular swap is to replace the 968 clutch with a S2 clutch. Price the dual mass flywheel and understand why....

the seats changed mid 94.

the seats came normally in partial leather, which is to say the seating surfaces only. the rest was vinyl.

full leather was an option.

sport seats were an option

heated seats, multiple variations of power, colored piping, cloth, porsche crest headrest, and script were options as well.

yes, 2 seat styles as mentioned above. the first is the late 944 style 86-91 and the second is the 993 style introduced to the 968 in 94.

Not all "92" 968's had the recessed hood ornament, only the early "92's".

Cheers,
Larry
