Very very nice!!!
If I fail with my "plactic" form, I'll try yours! I got this from another guy : http://www.rejsa.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2695&highlight=924+installationer

Why not just carefully use a hole saw and drill into the plastic grille unit? As for facing the gauges to the driver, the difference is so small as to be negligible. I have a voltmeter in that location, although I fabricated it out of hardwood (oak), contoured to fit the opening preciselyand lacquered/polished. BTW..that center "nut" where the speaker was in a 924 is a excellent grounding point for anything in that area.
Some day my wife will show me how to download pictures and I will post one which will show this and the elimination of the $.79 power window switches and their replacement with 30 amp marine units to the ashtray area (who smokes anymore?)

I am trying this also, with fiberglass. Take the grill out and cover it with wax paper and glass a thin layer over top. Once it dries, remove the wax paper and build to the back of it.
Will post picks after I finish
