Rear seat delete, Looking for ideas

Just removed interior prepping for color change and rear seat delete.
Looking to see what others have done adding subs and amps.
Post pics if you can.
Thanks

Sold this car like a fool but here's what a 944S2 Cab seat delete piece looks like in a 951.
No subs in here though...

There is a beautiful but expensive piece on Deutsch Nine.

A guy named "chrenan" on the 924 board did a very good job of copying it.

Nice setup, Flash.
What are the rear floor mats for if you have no rear seats?

It's not my car but I have a bunch of pics of it. A poster over on RL cannot remember his username. Unfortunately that is the only pic of the rear seat delete, other pics:

The black car and those pictures were from eBay, probably over 10 years ago now!

volv - sound mostly, and the fact that they match the front. if i ever get around to removing the carpet and installing dynamat and dynapad (i've already done the entire rest of the car), i'll probably lose the mats in the rear.

Cool. I've been thinking of getting some dynamat. Po soaked the carpets in oil, so I cleaned the carpet, but had to toss the insulation. Lost a fair bit of weight, but it is pretty damn loud.

yup - a lot of noise comes up through the floor. that's why i will be using dynamat AND dynapad. the dynamat does a great job of mid and high frequency blocking, but not so much low frequency stuff. that's where the dynapad comes in. none of it is particularly light, and together will be about 20#, but it's worth it on a street car. besides, with the supercharger, i don't really have an issue with the weight.

Since my 15 year is now 5'-10" and about 175 lbs, he no longer can fit in the back seat. I might consider one of these seat options.I really like the JL Audio 8" subs in that lower setting, less sun and people exposure.

the really nice thing is that the JL drivers don't take as much air volume as other ones, and they go much lower than any other driver i can find. that allowed me to have a much smaller box, which allowed me to have more room above the whole thing, which allows me to carry 2 cases of wine on top of them.

Super great info guys. Can anyone tell me about that rollbar/seatbelt bar I'm looking for one and I love the way that one has the indent behind the driver seat being I'm tall as sh$t
Or just good info on rollbars I have found some but haven't made up my mind yet which one. Has anyone dealt with Auto international for Porsche parts I see they have carpet sets.

be careful about roll bars. there are some vendors out there that call their unit a roll bar, but it really isn't, and would provide almost no protection in a rollover.

key features in any roll bar would be:

mandrel bent DOM tubing (not ERW) either .125 thick 1.5" or .090 thick 2"

minimum 3/16" thick landing plates to handle any downforce of a rollover. merely using the seat belt bolts for attachment and vertical positioning no good, as they will just sheer off in a rollover, and punch through the floor. there needs to be a plate at the base of the tube that contacts the frame.

if you plan to use harnesses, there needs to be a means of holding the belts still, either via slots in the seat, or slots on the bar.

make sure the unit provides the clearance you need for the "broomstick test". some of them are too short, so as to get into the car, and don't clear the top of your head or helmet.

This cost me ~$40 for entirely too much material and maybe an hour? 1 roll of thermal layer from lowes/home depot, the bubble wrap stuff, I didn't even use half of the 25$ roll. regular black felt from Joanne fabrick.

Just used some heavy 3M spray adhesive, laid down the insulation, let that sit for half an hour, sprayed more adhesive, laid felt down, used a 4 inch paint roller and worked it from the middle out. Ulfa knife ftw. Trim the edges. Tuck em in.

You'd be able to do this if you built in a box, fiberglassed in an enclosure, etc.

funny - i've been ripping out and replacing materials like that, as they do little to nothing for sound, and i don't have a heat problem that would dictate that kind of insulation. the difference has been nothing short of amazing. i understand that the factory has to use a cost effective material, but it still stuns me that, in this day and age of factory 10 speaker stereos and such, that they don't use more sound insulating material, rather than heat insulating. the two have almost nothing in common with each other, and behave very differently. is there really a need for heat insulation?
