brake caliper grease - where is it applied?
can anyone correct me if I am wrong - I assume that brake caliper grease goes at the following positions shown with a green circle on a front single-piston Ate brake caliper, shown here at one angle and then 90-degrees to that:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1385417260.jpg I assume the side of the caliper not shown is treated the same as the one shown, so the side of it. |
I use the hi temp brake caliper grease on the sliding components. Where the brake pad "tabs" ride on the caliper "slides". Also, sometimes a very light coat on the pins - another sliding surface. This just may help with pin corrosion also.
This is just my opinion - I'm not a pro. |
