Excellent article

Thanks for your research. This is very useful and I have bookmarked it for future reference.

I still stand by my remarks about your incorrect terminology regarding the use of "clutch mechanism", pressure, "no springs" etc. and how it was confusing. In fact every one of my concerns were confirmed in the article. The article consistently uses the word "pedal" in all the right places and specifically says "The power spring doesn’t operate as a traditional return spring instead, it operates as a cantilever mechanism to provide power assistance on both the downstroke and upstroke of the clutch pedal." . It does not use the word "clutch" by itself as you did. When dealing with descriptive words while working on cars, accuracy is crucial.

BTW, no one has provided a PET with the correct pedal lever. With an article so clear on how the newer design works, I am even more surprised at how hard the part is to find in a PET.

I apologize if I have offended you. It's clear at this point I have done just that. I hope you can forgive me.

You are quite correct, my terminology was inconsistent and therefore I tried to correct it in the article. As for finding the correct newer style clutch pedal in PET I don't think its listed anywhere. It's quite common to see an incorrect representation of a part in PET, I think the factory got lazy and simply used old illustrations in their most recent PET versions.

You certainly haven't offended me in any way whatsoever, things sometimes come across as "to the point" on forums where you are not talking face to face and besides I have a thick skin no need for apologies, all good
