NEEDED: 87 944 Driver Side Door Handle

I need a driver side exterior door handle for an 87 944. Script handle is preferred. Is it possible to change out the lock cylinder so I don't need to use a second key? If so, how difficult is it to change? I could not find anything in Clark's about changing the lock cylinder.

Thanks!

Yes, it's possible to change out the tumblers.
Mostly the script handles go out in pairs, though. There's several available now, one or more on this site.
I'm in two minds about moving up to script handles myself...
But thoroughly enjoyed the brushed look script handle seen on another thread here.
Good luck!

John - I swapped out my original handles for the script ones a couple of years ago. Brought them to a locksmith who took my existing key and changed the lock cylinder mechanism to match my original key. I believe it was something like $20 or so for his work... for me this was easier then moving the cylinders from one to another.

regards
greg
