Last week, I put K&N Air filter, Performance-products' Heavy-duty Spark-plug wires on my 89 944 NA A/T, that's fine, no overheat.
Yesterday, I changed Mobile oil 5W-50, K&N Gold Oil filter and NGK BP6ES spark plugs on it and drive it, i found it overheat (i.e. red warning light of Temp Guage is going on and the A/C stop making cold air) The outside temp is about 28C, my car never do this before even i drive it hard but this time it overheat when I made the above changes. Am I do something wrong??? please help!! |

It sounds like just a coincidence to me - the oil and plugs - unless you accidentally unhooked some wires.
Check coolant level. Check for debris on your radiator. Since your AC suddenly quit, I wonder if there is an obstruction to the air flow through your radiator which would also affect your AC. Leaves and junk.... Check to see if your fans are coming on. They should come on when you push AC button. |

Did you check your water level? I left my drain plug loose* once and when she got low on oil, she got a little hot...check your oil level? When you changed filter, did you make sure the old O ring came came with the old filter? any difficulties having the new filter screw on? I had a friend with a BMW and long story short:the new filter was just a micrometer different than the correct filter, had a slow oil leak. just some food for thought.
