I have an oppertunity to buy a complete turbo cup suspension, should I?
My mechanic just changed out an entire Turbo S cup suspension for a Bilstein coil over setup. He is now offering me the entire cup package, which will bolt directly to my 87 951. Any one have any pros and cons? I do enjoy the ride of my 951 stock as it is, but the suspension is tired and needs to be repolaced.

If you mean Cup as in the racing series, then you have to know it is VERY stiff, at least on my Cup. So stiff that street driving is a chore.

It sounds like you mean the turbo S(m030) suspension, not the "turbo cup" suspension.
The real "turbo cup" suspension is coilovers all around. I have the "turbo cup" suspension on my car and as GeorgeK says, it's pretty darn stiff. Either setup would be a great upgrade from the stock non m030 setup, with the "S" setup being more geared for street use. To do the "S" suspension correctly though, you will need to change out the Torsion bars also or you will understeer.

I think your right, he said it was the suspension that came on the later "Turbo S" series. Sounds like that is the M030 setup. Anyone have an experience with that? I don't want to rattle the car to pieces!

Yes, i have that setup as well. It is an excellent setup for a street or street/track car.
