Raced a 98 Ram Air today and the results speak for themselves.

You guys need to download this codec Here and when you get done with installation open up microsft windows media player and go to file open then race2.avi. Do not just double click on race2.avi and have media player open up from that as it will not work.
The Ram Air I raced was a guy that a buddy and I had met a day before. My buddy drives a 96 Cobra and this Ram Air completely spanked his cobra so I asked the Ram Air if he wanted to race and he said sure. The guy wouldn't leave the hood open for long but from what I saw is that he had aftermaket MAF that was adjustable, headers, downpipes, and no mufflers. He claims he runs a 12.7-12.8??...I highly doubt since I beat him and I know my car is not that fast. My car is a 87 944 Turbo with a Huntley Stage 3 MAF, Huntley Chips, Huntley 3" Testpipe, Greedy Profec B set at 17lbs, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and SFR short shift kit. Probably making around 285 at the rear wheels??

Yea I was suprised myself!! That Ram Air sounds so mean I thought for sure I would have lost. Porsche once again "there is no substitute"!! LOL

I've been trying to see this video at both Rennlist and here....
I downloaded the codes, but when I open Window's Media player and open file, there is nothing that I can run that is associated with these files.... Overkill, help me out here, you opened them, right?? 944S Boyeee |

That's one fast 951 you got there! I once raced against a Camaro SS LS1 1999 on a 40-140 mph acceleration and we stayed even for the whole race. I pulled less than a carlenght on him. I can't even imagine pulling that way on one!
What are your mods? Did you ever test your car on a quarter mile acceleration?

I managed to download them and get the codec... I just can't believe that video........ you hear the roar of the V8.....but then you begin to hear that turbo spooling............and buuuh bye! it really is a beautifull thing..... Thumbs up! The only question I have is why he wanted to do a top speed race after you spanked him silly?

My mods are listed above. I have lots of Huntley bolt on gear back when they were the "premier" tuning shop, but still running stock turbo.

The one thing thats gets me is that the guy with the LS1 didn't really even get you off the start? I mean I not knocking on your car/ setup but we all know that 944's are ****ty off the start. It wasn't like you were on the gas either pre-spooling your turbo. Does the other guy know how to race? Automatic? Manual? Thats a modified LS1 too! I mean damn!
